Overview
The Agribusiness Section is located in the Lae head office of Trukai Industries and has overall
responsibility for the farming and agricultural pursuits of Trukai Industries in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
A major function of the section is to assist with and promote the advancement of agricultural production within PNG.
The Trukai Industries Agribusiness Section undertakes both commercial and non-commercial agricultural pursuits in PNG.
The commercial agricultural pursuits include:
- Commercial Rice production at the Cleanwater site in the Markham Valley
- Commercial peanut production also at Cleanwater
- Beef cattle production at Trukai Farms Erap
- Technical assistance to other PNG cattle operations through the provision of commercial management consultancies.
The non-commercial agricultural pursuits include a suite of projects that form a memorandum of agreement with the Papua New Guinea Government
