Customs Clearance Officer - Lae

Trukai Industries Limited is seeking a detailed oriented and experienced Customs Clearance
Officer to join our Supply Chain Department based in Lae, Morobe Province. This position will
report directly to the National Import Coordinator.
The Customs Clearance Officer will be responsible for ensuring all import and export
shipments are processed in compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or related field.
- Solid knowledge of import/export regulations
- Familiarity with customs portals/ Online portals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and customs software.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a
- plus.
- Ability to prepare customs documentation for import/export shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant government agencies and international
- regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other regulatory bodies.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve any customs-related delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all clearance documents.
- Provide support to internal departments regarding shipping and customs issues.
- Stay current on changes in customs laws and regulations.
